The new series of Goodyear FUELMAX truck tyres

Goodyear claims that if a transport company with 50 trucks replaces all their class tyres class “D” on the Euro-label for fuel consumption with FUELMAX tyres, that company shall save approximately 256 thous. Euro per year. Such savings are equal to 5 120 Euro savings from fuel consumption as well as decrease of the carbon dioxide emissions with 8 975 kg. per a vehicle per one year. The assessment is based on a typical 40-ton composition of a truck and a trailer with three axles, annual millage of 100 000 km. per a year, fuel consumption of 32.3 litres per 100 km. and a price of the diesel fuel – 1.50 Euro / litre.

Besides the fuel saving, the new FUELMAX tyres guarantee bigger mileage and they are characterized with higher flexibility for easer assembly. The FUELMAX S model for the front axle is the first tyre of its type, marked with A class on the Euro-label for fuel consumption. The remaining 2 models are FUELMAX_D – for driving axle and FUELMAX T – for the trailer. In comparison with their predecessors, Goodyear Marathon LHS II+ and LHD II+, the new tyres reduce the rolling resistance with up to 10 % and provide 15 % better productivity, flexibility at assembly and improved grip.
